YOUNG WOMAN FATALLY SHOT IN HER HOME

Smithsville police are investigating the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Sarah Noulgates, who was found with a single gunshot wound to the chest at her residence late Saturday night.

Authorities say the shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. A 9mm handgun is believed to have been used in the incident. Noulgates was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead later that evening.

Friends and family describe Sarah as “kind, sweet, and deeply caring.” One family member told the Times, “This is shattering. She never had a mean bone in her body. She didn’t deserve this.”

Police have not released any information about suspects or motives. As of Sunday morning, no arrests have been made. Authorities are urging residents to remain alert and keep their homes secure.
